The combination of better technology and a strong economy are even more important that a candidate will catch up with what? It’s happening now, or risk a very long job search.
1. Avoid? Missing person? problems!
Many job seekers believe it is not visible in a Google search of the name is good for them. I’m confused “invisibility” in the “privacy” – two very different things! Privacy is good, invisibility is bad!
invisible makes them look like a “missing person” – possibly out-of-date. And worse, invisible makes them vulnerable to problems of mistaken identity as someone with the same name has a bad reputation online.
The best strategy is to make good things prospective employers specific to the job seeker, and controlled by the job seeker (see # 2).
2. That the online reputation management.
A recent study conducted by Microsoft, 79% of employers monitored online reputation candidates’ first contact them. Thus, online reputation management is critical in today’s job market. Two good tools for managing online reputation is LinkedIn and Google + because the unemployed person determines what each of the world around them.
ShowsWhy LinkedIn is usually included in the first page of Google in the name of a person, eliminates the? missing person? problem and also provides an excellent platform for job seekers to demonstrate skills and achievements -. to “manage the message” of themselves as companies manage their brands
Course, a Google Profile + link is usually included in the first page of Google search on a person? the name, and eliminating the “missing person”, claiming the profile on LinkedIn, and providing additional opportunities for job seekers to present their image in the world.

3. Harnessing the power of the Internet to prepare for interviews.
Recently, a job seeker told me that the first question was asked in an interview? What do you know about us? Were it not? T has been created, have lost the opportunity at that time.
the employer? s website? who, what, where are they? What do you sell / offer? Who are their customers or constituency? Who are the competitors and business partners? They have their jobs and news tweets or have a Facebook page with news and jobs? What does Google show on them?
job seekers can demonstrate their ability to use current technology, and their interest in the employer and the work of preparation for the interview? preferably with one or two questions ready, on the basis of that research. For more information on preparing for interviews, see Work Coach Cafe answers to common questions, and Job-Hunt Job Interview Interview section.
4. Put the old one? Work History? Resume a performance-oriented resume, customized for each vacancy.
Long gone are the days when a one-size-fits-all curriculum, a list of all the jobs in work history, actually worked. In today? S difficult labor market, instead of a resume is designed to appeal to any appeal to potential employers any of them.
old curriculum also shows how long ago that the second has a person looking for a job? Maybe again? Dark Ages? for personal computers, word processing software and the Internet.
See Job-Hunt? Susan Ireland, resume expert? s sample resumes resume advice and help.
5. Turn on the Internet at work to connect with old friends and former colleagues.
Yes, the Internet helps to network! Why hire someone who does not work is so expensive, people often hire someone they already know at least a little, ‘or someone known to someone you know? In other words, someone in their personal network.
Internet offers many tools to stay connected and to reconnect with people you love and respect of your past? Google, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Google +, etc.
employer? groups of pupils? are wonderful to help the unemployed find former colleagues, colleagues, bosses, etc.
You can find these alumni groups on LinkedIn, in Job-Hunt? Employer Alumni Network Directory which lists over 250 groups, and through search engines.
