godlike hexum shirtless twice, in scenes from 1983 TV movie, Making of a Male Model. This movie was a watershed for the portrayal of the shirtless male on TV – he was no longer the rugged hero, he was now a sex object, controlled by women (in this case, Joan Collins, who else?), displaying himself for the delight of woman (and a few of us men). It also established Jon-Erik Hexum as the king of 80s sirtlessness. These scenes play on the man’s discomfot at being told to go shirtless. It’s still an edgy concept for the time. … but fun to watch! All hail the Hex!
